Dunoon presents Argyll Rally

A small but gritty group of competitors head to Dunoon chasing points in the West Wales Rally Spares Stage Masters Challenge. The rally comes well recommended, and our crews should be if for a great weekend of motor sport.

Highest seed is Baz Wheeler who will bring his latest tarmac weapon but will be accompanied by Richard Wise as John Pickavance is unavailable. Baz goes well on all surfaces and with a clean run is sure to be a front runner. Lee Ashberry is a good friend of Baz but along with Ian Jones will be hoping to spoil his party as they battle for top Challenge points in his beautiful Escort RS1800.

Stephen Hall and Aggie Foster are on their ‘home’ event and their Triumph TR4 should be well suited to the asphalt stages. A good performance on the recent Dixies Challenge Rally bodes well.

Reigning  Challenge champions, Paul Homles and Liz Beesley wheel out their pinto powered Escort for the first time this season and will undoubtedly be just as reliable as they were last year. Russell Joseph stands to be able to collect some useful points as he accompanies Craig King in his Mini as our crews join the Mini Cup and Cat 1 crews for this event.
