The HRCR. The home of Historic Rallying

For over 30 years, the Historic Rally Car Register has been the epicentre of Historic rallying, not just in the UK but Europe, too.

Founded in 1984 it was the first organisation of its kind and is now the largest. Originally formed by a group of enthusiasts lead by Philip Young, as a way of documenting original ‘Works’ rally cars while encouraging owners to keep them true to the period in which they were rallied, such was the interest that soon a whole new genre of events was created to relive the ‘golden age’ of rallying. And so the historic rally scene was born.

30 years on and the Historic Rally Car Register is ‘the’ club to join for anyone with an interest in Historic Rallying – the branch of motorsport dedicated to the types of cars that were rallied from the 1950’s through to the 1980’s.

HRCR members can be found supporting all forms of historic rallying in Britain and abroad, as drivers, navigators, organisers, marshals and spectators. From the Welsh lanes and Yorkshire forests to the famous passes of the Alps – including our President, Paddy Hopkirk MBE.

As ‘the Home of Historic Rallying’ the Historic Rally Car Register is where the classic rally community gathers and shares its passion – why not join in and be part of the action.

Join The Club

Why not join the Historic Rally Car Register today and discover the exciting world of Historic Rallying.

If you’re interested in historic rallying, the HRCR is the club for you – whether you’re new to the sport or a seasoned expert. Being at the very heart of the sport since 1984, we are best placed to keep you up-to-date with all the news, views, reports and events with our bi-monthly magazine ‘Old Stager’ – Europe’s only magazine dedicated to the historic rally enthusiast distributed exclusively to HRCR members.

Membership also gives you access to many exclusive discounts on products and services for both you and your car. In addition, our Annual Open Day at the Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon, and our regular Local Area Group Meetings throughout the country are great opportunities to meet up and get help and advice on car preparation and tips on navigation.

Importantly, if you intend to compete you’ll need to be a member of a motorsport club. You’ll find it easier as a member of the HRCR as it is an invited club on the majority of historic events. Plus through the club you can share in a wealth of experience with many of our members having rallied since the 1950s and 60s

All this offers great value. Standard annual membership starts from just £41.50 or as low as £21 for concessions. Simply click below and be part of the action!
