Offering the simpler Clubman’s navigation option, incorporated in the Beginners Championship.

The Matlock MC  2026 edition of the Dansport Historic aims to build on the previous events – though ensuring it continues to evolve as we strive to make it the best event we can for everyone involved and of course out chosen charity the Air Ambulance.

We’ve successfully changed the date from October into February in order to benefit from additional test mileage at a much-loved Derbyshire venue (sorry if you missed us in 2025)

We’ve also kept the evening run that so many of you have enjoyed, with the aim of delivering competitive fun on the quieter roads for a couple of hours and leaving time for a social over the now traditional pie and peas finish.

Sunday promises a route over some classic Derbyshire and Staffordshire lanes, though we’ve tried to leave out some of the rougher whites/tests based on your feedback from previous years.  We’ll stop for Coffee and a light lunch so make sure you save room for Carvery (With pudding of course!) at the Peak Edge hotel to finish in daylight and get you headed for home at a reasonable hour.

New for this year, we’re supporting the beginners championship and will provide A4 printed maps of the route for beginners to copy onto their own map 119 – You’ll also receive all the same information as the Interclub so you can piece it all together at the kitchen table after the event!

We’re looking to deliver the Dansport Historic you all know and love, whilst ensuring it goes from strength to strength.
