However, if you know of an event that isn’t listed here which would be of interest to historic rally fans, then please email the details to and we’ll add it to the calendar. Don’t forget to include the contact details of the event organisors.

Hughes Historic Rally

The 2018 Hughes Rally will take place on Saturday 2nd June with the start & finish venue close to the M25 with around 140 miles on pleasant Kentish country roads with varied and enjoyable regularity sections. There will also be several tests on various surfaces including a return to the popular Mereworth Woods. Hill Climb 1.64 km (Optional Double Header) – Epynt Military ranges The Ministry of Defence acquired several thousand acres of Mynydd Epynt in 1939. This now forms the core of the Sennybridge Training Area (SENTA). The hill climb course is one of the longest in the series. It is situated on the Epynt Military ranges. Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb

Hill Climb 0.914 km – Worcestershire The Shelsley Walsh Speed Hill Climb is organised by the Midland Automobile Club (MAC) and the weekend centres around Historic cars. It is one of the oldest motorsport events in the world and the venue and paddock is well worth a visit as it is steeped in nostalgia and motorsport heritage with excellent facilities plus old style paddocks that could tell a lot of stories. Loton Park Hill Climb

Hill Climb 1.349 km – Shrewsbury Loton Park Hill Climb is held in part of the Loton Park deer park in Shropshire, England. The course is 1475 yards (1349 metres) in length, making it the third longest course used in the British Hill Climb Championship. It contains an unusual downhill section fairly early in its layout. The event will be regularity and test based. Starting in and finishing near Ripon, the route will be approximately 150 miles of scenic country roads, with coffee, lunch and evening meal provided. Welland Valley Wander

Leicestershire, Rutland & Northamptonshire The sixth Welland Valley Wander on Sunday 19 August will start from Hothorpe Hall near Market Harborough, close to the source of the River Welland. Travelling through Rutland, the lunchtime halt will be at one of England’s hidden gems, Grimsthorpe Castle in south Lincolnshire. The eighth running of the ‘Classic’ will see a change in Clerk of the Course with Andy Darlington taking over from Guy Woodcock. The event will again start and finish at the Druid Inn in Llanferres, with the route being just less than 150 miles consisting of 7 regularities and 12 tests on maps 116 and 117.
