Welcome to our Historic Rally Event Calendar – ‘the’ place to come to find out what’s going on in the world of historic rallying. Not only does it list all the forthcoming HRCR events and Area Group meetings, but it also gives you a comprehensive list of other historic rally events too.

However, if you know of an event that isn’t listed here which would be of interest to historic rally fans, then please email the details to events@hrcr.co.uk and we’ll add it to the calendar. Don’t forget to include the contact details of the event organisors.

HRCR Open Day

British Motor Museum at Gaydon, Warwickshire, (M40 Junc 12). This year the HRCR Open Day will look the history of the  Austin Metro 6R4. The event is very much a social gathering where you can see the cars and meet the event organisers covering every facet of historic rallying. Doors open at 10am and entry is free. HRCR 01384 291441

HRCR Annual Prize-Giving and Dinner Dance

  A celebration and party to mark the achievements of all the HRCR Championship Winners in 2016. The evening includes dinner, guest speakers and presenters plus live music and dancing too. The following morning the same venue hosts the HRCR AGM. HRCR david@rishworthholmes.com

Tour of Cheshire Classic Rally

This is an event for beginners and experienced crews alike. Teach in available for beginners and novices on the Friday night before the event. There will be 150 miles in total of which 100 will be regularity sections including ten special tests mostly on sealed surfaces but all non-car damaging. Ilkley Jubilee Historic Rally

The start and finish of the event will be at the Millstones on the A59 west of Harrogate. We have six regularities and ten tests planned with one at a new venue for the event. Leukaemia Historic Rally

This year we will be applying for a Clubman’s permit with a view to attracting newcomers who will not require a MSA Competition Licence and, for whom, navigation will be the most basic. Hughes Historic Rally

The 2018 Hughes Rally will take place on Saturday 2nd June with the start & finish venue close to the M25 with around 140 miles on pleasant Kentish country roads with varied and enjoyable regularity sections. For 2018 the East Anglian Classic will be based at a hotel close to the A14 in Bury St. Edmunds, and will traverse the lanes of Suffolk and South Norfolk. Ross Traders Historic Rally

Some new tests and some new roads will freshen the Ross Traders experience this year. Increased plotting time is a welcome feature of this event for the novices, while the experts will enjoy the light pressure that the full-on nature that the event provides. St Wilfrids Classic Rally

The event will be regularity and test based. Starting in and finishing near Ripon, the route will be approximately 150 miles of scenic country roads, with coffee, lunch and evening meal provided. Vale of Clwyd Classic Rally

The eighth running of the ‘Classic’ will see a change in Clerk of the Course with Andy Darlington taking over from Guy Woodcock. The event will again start and finish at the Druid Inn in Llanferres, with the route being just less than 150 miles consisting of 7 regularities and 12 tests on maps 116 and 117. The Devils Own Rally

Interested in a different challenge? The Devils Own will start at lunch time with an afternoon of tests and regularities, followed by a demanding evening section in the Lake District. A back-to- basics rally with no plot and bash, minimum speed changes and a route designed to test drivers, navigators and cars to the limit.
