The West Wales Rally Spares HRCR Stage Masters challenge has received a major boost for 2018 and is now able to offer contenders a tyre deal thanks to Midlands based Mr Tyre Motorsport Ltd.
Mr Tyre Motorsport Ltd are a long-established market leader in the supply of Rally, Race and Trackday tyres.
Operating out of their 100,000 square feet head office and distribution centre in central Birmingham, they stock Hankook, Dunlop, Dmack, Maxxis and Yokohama Race and Rally tyres.
Renewing their association with Mr Tyre Motorsport’s Paul Dyas and Dan Jeffs who were part of the highly successful championship that saw their name associated with the Historic Rally Car Register between 2007 to 2013 with Dunlop.
Two Hankook tyres will be handed out per round to the first competitor drawn out of a hat, if they are exclusively running Hankook tyres and displaying the correct decals.
At the end of the year the leading Hankook contender will receive a set of four brand new tyres.
Hankook are bringing in new sizes of both the Z205 Tarmac tyre and the R213 Gravel tyre which will be available as the year progresses in 2018. The Z205 is an FIA Historic legal Tarmac rally tyre available in 4 Compounds allowing for maximum grip on both dry and wet surfaces. The R213 is the latest Gravel tyre from Hankook having been used to great effect by Competitors in Historic Rallying towards the end of the 2017 Season.
HRCR Chairman Paul Loveridge said: “We are delighted to be involved with Mr Tyre Motorsport again. We look forward to a long association together, just like last time, providing contenders with a robust and grippy clubman tyre for both the forest and asphalt rounds.”
The mixed surface challenge starts at the beginning of March with the Mid-Wales Stages and will end at the beginning of December on the lanes of Ireland with the Killarney Historic Stages.
