St Wilfrids 2019 Preview

I guess this weekend in some cosy pub “up north” the Wainwrights, Alan Hill and Ripon Motor Club team will have a pint get in the crisps and scratchings open up the seeding list ………….and choke on their crisps!
Rather them than me, I can see at least a dozen previous winning crews down there (not all in their usual seat) in alphabetical order so I don’t get in trouble how are you going to seed this lot:
the Bricknells, Crosby/Pullan, Dunning/Taylor, Isherwood/Frost, Mellings/Carr, the Rogers, Ruddock/Woodman, the Staniforths, Warren/Procter and Willan/Taylor ………….and yes there’s a few more crews muttering, shouldn’t we be on this list – YES you should
Our guest driver this time is Cameron Jackson, Cameron is the current Autosport Club Racing Driver of the Year, Historic Formula Ford 1600 and Formula Junior Champion. He comes “hot foot” from Goodwood where he raced a Crossle C5S and after a weekend with us he will travel to Spa for the 6 hour race where he shares a Lotus Elan with Sir Chris Hoy. Navigating in the MotorSport News Lancia will be Amy Henchoz – so these 2 may also trouble the top ten
The Experts championship points will be fought over by Goodwin/Davies, the Martins, Steele/Pitt and the Woolstenhulmes …but don’t ignore the multi night rally winners Mark Turner and Sasha Heriot in ex-Steve Johnson RS2000
The Novice championship (yes I know it’s confusing when for this event they are classed as Experts) should be fought out between the Binsteads MGB and Wood/Millers Volvo but the Cliftons SAAB and the Andersons Bentley should entertain and get close to “troubling the engravers”
