Opening Round Getting Closer

Preparations are well-advanced for Stuart Anderson and Dan Nieroda in their ex-works Group 4 Vauxhall Chevette HSR – As can be seen from these photographs from R3 Race and Rally Repairs.

The car was undergoing a re-spray at R3 Race and Rally Repairs in time for the first round of the West Wales Rally Spares HRCR Stage Masters Challenge, Rally North Wales on April 1st in Dolgellau.

This car is the oldest surviving current HS rallying and is the car which Stuart used with his son Jack to win Cat3 of the HRCR Old Stager championship in 2016. The car will be run again in 2017 by Geoff Jones Motorsport.

Stuart took the 2016 HRCR Old Stager title with his son Jack in the left-hand seat, dominating the rounds they finished which included 1st on the Rally Isle of Man and the AGBO stages, this was coupled with two non-finishes, both on Epynt, on the Harry Flatters and Dixies Challenge.

For 2017, experienced Dan Nieroda who lives near Chester will sit with Stuart on the eight-round series which will end in December in the lanes of Killarney in southern Ireland.

Dan can often be heard carrying out media interviews at the end of stages on both the World Rally Championship and British Rally Championship rounds.

The first round is Rally North Wales on April 1st
