Preview – Hills Ford Stages Three Shires Rally 14th & 15th September
With three rounds remaining in both the Mini and Cat 1 Cups there are still some hot battles to be contested and the Hills Ford Stages Three Shires Rally will certainly see a few being played out.
We join our sister championship Stage Masters in what is the first time this event has been a round of either Mini or Cat 1 Cups.
Leaders in Cat 1 after another fine performance on the Tour of Epynt are Scottish based crew Stephan Hall & Aggie Foster hoping for a clean sweep in their trusty Triumph TR4 with Shane Gamble & Julie Perry looking to close the gap in the Mini Cooper.
Clive King back with regular co-driver Anton Bird is looking to stabilise his championship lead in the Mini Cup.

Local interest will of course be following Eric Davies & Russell Joseph hoping to get the monkey off their back registering no-finishes in the last two rounds.
And father and daughter team Paul & Jemma Taylor join in with all crew members being based in Gloucestershire and Herefordshire, both running in the Mini Cup Championship.

Craig King & Craig Hardiman hoping to return to their charging best after a cautious Tour of Epynt in the re-built Mini following their agricultural excursion on the Argyl Rally.

Another Mini crew that registered a non-finish over Epynt after a re-building exercise is that of Andrew O’Hanlon & Kevin Hogan. Epynt saw them making good progress and getting back into the groove when the gearbox had other ideas. The Three Shires is where they’re also hoping to shake off the mechanical Gremlins.
The Hills Ford Stages is a closed road rally and well supported within the local community and beyond so it’s great to see our club being so well represented and flying the flag for our championship supporters, too.

Another good showing for The Club That Goes Historic Rallying.
