HRCR Stage Masters – Round 3 Dixies Challenge

Second round winner Jason Gardner will be looking for another maximum points haul as he’ll be the first contender off the line for round 3 of the West Wales Rally Spares HRCR Stage Masters Challenge.
He’s only had two weeks to turn the car around following his successful first outing in the challenge on the RallyNuts Stages.
Another contender with a short turnaround time is Jeff Wincott, current leader of the Sean Rayner Escort Cup, he’ll be looking to keep Jason in close attendance after admitting he was a little off the pace following his good points haul in the previous round.
Gwilym Roberts makes a welcome return in his Ford Escort Mk1 the man from Dollgellau is a strong supporter of the championship and is looking to blow away the cobwebs and get some points on the board.
Leading the C2 contingent is class leader Stephen Powell and Johnathan Hawkins in their Hillman Avenger, another one looking to make the best of the conditions on roads that he’s competed on many a time before.
Category One leader Ken Davies and Alan Jones have swapped back to their trusted Ford Cortina GT which is a lot better on the asphalt and won them maximum points on the first round of the season the AGBO Stages.
The battle for overall honours in the Minis will rage once again over the narrow roads which should suite Peter Ellerby and Ben Anderson will be the ones to stop the clocks first followed by Shane Gamble and Bob Ward. Both, will be looking to get on track following their opening round problems with the infamous Weston Park Ford which knocked them out of overall contention.
Colin McDowell will be hoping for another maximum points haul to keep his overall title challenge alive.
Eric Davies and Russell Joseph are back out after hopefully curing their electrical problems which curtailed their opening round before a wheel had even been turned in anger.
Due to continuing problems with the Vauxhall Chevette of Stuart Anderson navigator Dan Nieroda will once again substitute in the Mini. Ably driven by Stephen Robinson they’ll also be looking to finish up the order by the end of the day.
Entry to the ranges is £10 per car and can be gained be gained off the A40 at Llywel, near Sennybridge, but please be careful and considerate when parking.
The first car gets underway at 10:01am with 11 stages on offer and central servicing located at Dixies Corner.
