New to the Scenic Tours series, the Cambridge Classic Car Run will be held on 29 April starting and finishing at the world-renowned Imperial War Museum, Duxford. As 2018 is the centenary anniversary of the formation of the RAF this year’s event with have a Royal Air Force theme and so where better place to start than Duxford. Daring back to those early days in 1918 when it was a training depot for new pilots it became a base for both Spitfire and Hurricane squadrons during the Second World War and the preserved buildings form the finest example of a pre-1945 fighter station in the country.
The tour route will be approximately 80 miles, the aim being to give entrants the opportunity to return to Duxford in time to look around this fascinating museum, entry to which for both driver and passenger is included in the event entry fee of just £55.
