Dansport Historic Rally to Run!

Supported by

A warm welcome to the 19th running of the Dansport Rally, though for 2020, Matlock Motor Club will run it as a Historic Road Regularity Rally hence the new title the Dansport Historic, our sincere thanks go to Dan and his team for their continued sponsorship of the event.

We have an excellent Start venue at the Peak Edge Hotel and 2 trailer parks which will make it easier for crews to compete without the need for an overnight stay. Trailer park One is at the Start, 9 miles from the M1, junc 29 and trailer park Two is close to MTC18, just 1 mile from the M1, junc 36.

Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic there will be no finish ceremony, from MTC18 adjacent to a fuel station, crews will head home receiving results by email overnight and these will become final at lunchtime on the 18th Oct. All awards will then be posted out to the crews.

The event will be guided by Government and MUK protocol with all recommended distancing and PPE requirements met.

We’ll all soon be able to enjoy historic road rallying once again!

A route of 130 miles is offered, to include 9 special tests, 5 regularities and a 36 mile TC section all based on OS Maps 110 and 119. The route will contain metalled and unmetalled surfaces and the more enthusiastic drivers may need a sump guard, however we have only selected the smoother whites in our area.

Crews will be able to plot most of the regularity sections before each start, some with more time to achieve this than others. Some regularity information may not be opened until you start the section, you will be advised when to open by the Marshal.

Sadly the MotorSport News HRCR Championship has been cancelled for 2020, however all HRCR, EMAMC, ANEMMC, ANWCC and ANCC club members are welcome to enter and we envisage the event will herald the way to a brighter season in 2021.

The entry fee includes; both a coffee and supper break, you may enter online from 9.00am August 1st via a download from the Club website where you can also find a complete set of supplementary regs :
