The Historic Rally Car Register Ltd

Competitive and Affordable Historic Rallying

These daytime regularity rallies are as competitive as historic rallying can get, without requiring the finances for special stage rallying or the stamina for all-night rallying. All events in the series include some special tests on private land where you can use your driving skill to compete against the clock. There's also plenty of regularity road mileage where you'll need to closely watch your average speed whilst navigating your way around the map to find various control points.

Great Variety

Every rally in the series has a different organiser and is run in a different area, so there's plenty of variety as each presents a different challenge to driver, navigator and classic car. All events run at weekends, so for the majority of us there's no need to use up valuable holidays. Have a look through the championship calendar and see which of the rallies you might like to enter.

Cars up to 1981

Any historic road rally car complying with the MSA Category 1 (up to 1967), Categrory 2 (1967-74) or Category 3 (1975-81) technical regulations can compete in the championship.

Points are scored on overall classification order in each round with just the best 7 scores being counted from the 11 rounds in 2010. Three experience-based categories, Master, Clubman and Newcomer, give everyone a good chance of collecting a championship award at the end of the year.

Pre-1960 Awards

If you compete in the Clubmans Rally Championship in a pre-1960 car, you will be eligible to win the HRCR's special Pre-60 Awards.  These will be presented to the driver and navigator considered to be the most active and successful across the HRCR's range of road and stage rally championships in a pre-1960 car.
