New 100 Series Rally with a Twist
Richard Egger, in conjunction with Loughborough Car Club and the HRCR, is looking at the viability of running a 100 Series Rally with a twist.
Billed as a daylight rally for novices and nice cars, the event will be based around the network of lanes between Loughborough and Melton Mowbray during September.
The intention is for competitors to assemble during mid Sunday morning for bacon cobs, documentation, scrutineering and three tests.
Then they will tackle three road loops each 30 miles long and return to the start venue after each one to tackle three tests before the next loop to finish with supper in a local friendly hostelry. Start around 10am to be in the pub by 8pm
There will be 2 levels of handout. A beginners set which is described as "simplistic in the extreme" and an experts set which will sort out the "experts".
The entry will be around the £25 mark with £15 for insurance and to include breakfast. Competitors will pay for their own supper.
Plans are at the point where we need to assess the level of interest, so if this takes your fancy, email Richard Egger at richard@rpegger.co.uk
