LATEST UPDATES TO THIS WEBSITE

Dessie Nutt and Geraldine McBride secured the Championship Win on the Trackrod Dessie Nutt and Geraldine McBride secured the Championship Win on the Trackrod

The latest updates are listed here to save people having to trawl through everything to look for changes. We hope that you will find this feature useful.

31st December - The photolisting of the 2009 Award Winners can be downloaded (in 10 sections, I am afraid) below, as can a booking form for the Awards Dinner at the Barcelo Hotel in Daventry on 20th Feb 2010. The 2010 Calendar is also listed below.  The list in the latest Old Stager magazine contained an unchecked (and wrong in a couple of issues) list

1st November - With no queries having been received on the points, the 2009 Championship Points Tables have been declared FINAL.  Awards winners lists to be posted shortly.

28th October - Two drivers change position in Class B2 (points OK but mis-sorted on previous list).

21st October - One points total revised in the Drivers' Class and Overall tables.  No positions are affected.  Printed copies of the points tables will be in the post to all contenders later today.

3rd October - One position changes in the Co-drivers' Overall points tables (due to a mis-sort, not a mistake).  Any more changes needed as I will be sending out printed copies in the near future?

30th September - Mistakes in allocating points to most of the Class C3 runners on the Trackrod have been corrected on all the relevant points tables.  Not huge changes!

28th September - All Points Tables updated and posted on the relevant pages.  If anyone has any queries, would they please come back to me so they can be looked into and andy necessary changes be made prior to printed copies being posted out in a week or so?

27th September - Congratulations to Dessie Nutt and Geraldine McBride - Category 1 winners on the Trackrod Rally and 2009 Champions.  Overall and Class Points Tables are on the Points Tables Page and other tables will be updated during the day.

25th May 2009 - David Stokes and Guy Weaver are now Competitors' Representatives to the Championship Committee

2009 Awards

I have not yet been able to find a suitable printer to get this ready to send out to everyone (a long and sorry tale) so here it is as a pdf to download in the meantime.  At nearly 12Mb it could take a while.  Also attached is the booking form for the Awards Evening so you can come to Daventry and pick up your award in person.

Championship Decals

Drawing to view Drawing to view

Reproduced below is the drawing regarding the positioning of Championship Decals on competing cars.  It has become apparent that not all cars are compliant with this requirement.  Additional decals will be available at Scrutineering at the Severn Valley Historic Challenge and subsequent events to enable competitors to attend to this detail.  This is an important issue for the Championship and its sponsors and your co-operation is expected.

Furthermore, those Competitors running on Revloution Competition Wheels and claiming points in the Revolution Competition Wheels Star Driver Category Awards must carry at least one Revolution Competition Wheels decal on each side of the vehicle.

The drawing and notes are available as a pdf file to download and print off.

Competitors' Representatives

Following a meeting of the Championship Committee on 14th May, it was decided to approach David Stokes and Guy Weaver and ask them to act as Competitor Representatives for the Dunlop / Gambia - MSA British Historic Rally Championship.  We are pleased to announce that the invitations were accepted.

David and Guy were BHRC Champions in 2007 and David has been a copmpetitor in the Championship since its inception.  The addition of Guy's attention to detail in the left hand seat has made them a formidable combination on the stages in theit Ford Escort.  Both men are very interested in the well-being of the Championship and have provided input "behind the scenes" for some time.

Competitors with questions, or points to raise, are therefore urged to speak to the Competitors' Representatives, the Competitors Liaison Officers (David Crawley and Val Thompson) or to the the other members of the Dunlop / Gambia - MSA British Historic Rally Championship Committee - Simon Marks, Paul Loveridge and Andy Millns.

A pdf containing contact details for all of us is attached for download.

Regulations

The regulations and registration forms for the 2009 Championship were released at the Championship's official launch at the HRCR Open Day at Gaydon on January 11th 2009. The documents are downloadable from here.

IT WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL IF CONTENDERS COULD REGISTER BEFORE THE FIRST ROUND OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP BY DOWNLOADING REGULATIONS AND ENTRY FORMS (ABOVE) AND SENDING THEM TO SIMON MARKS. THIS WILL MAKE SIMON'S SIGNING-ON DAY AT THE ROBIN HOOD HISTORIC STAGES MUCH LESS STRESSED AND THE CHAMPIONSHIP SUNSTRIP, DOOR SQUARES AND STICKERS CAN BE SENT TO YOU IN ADVANCE, SO YOU CAN FIX THEM ON YOUR CARS IN YOUR GARAGES / WORKSHOPS, RATHER THAN IN THE SERVICE AREA AT WORKSOP!
